What is Total Protection Service?
McAfee® Total Protection Service is the industry's first integrated Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) - ideal for companies looking to eliminate or reduce onsite infrastructure, cost, and maintenance. With a quick online installation, Total Protection Service provides automatic, always-on guard security to PCs and servers against viruses, spyware, hacker attacks and web threats. Total Protection Service is managed by McAfee online via the SecurityCenter console for quick access to policy configurations and security reporting.
What is available in the beta for Total Protection Service?
Intended for public testing, McAfee’s beta release of Total Protection Service offers testers with an opportunity to evaluate the upcoming features and SecurityCenter functionalities and to identify configurations or suggestions that may improve Total Protection Service prior to official release.
Perpetual Beta version 5.0 beta includes:
- Integrated virus, spyware and desktop firewall protection for proactive security against today’s latest threats.
- Web security with McAfee SiteAdvisor technology to ensure safe Internet surfing and new web filtering to protect your network and employees from inappropriate web content and potential spyware.
- Ability to scan your perimeter for vulnerabilities – detailed reporting shows you exactly where your network is weak and how to address it.
- Free access to the McAfee beta SecurityCenter – the updated, McAfee-managed Web console, which is updated with new data 24x7 and provides easy tips to get your security up-to-date.
- Support of Window 7.
- Multi-language User Interface.

McAfee offers you a preview of Total Protection Service that supports Microsoft Windows 7 Beta. To use this version, please register for the McAfee Total Protection Service Beta , then log into the McAfee SecurityCenter to follow the installation instructions to support Microsoft Windows 7 Beta.
How can feedback be submitted to McAfee?
After your Total Protection beta installation and your use of the McAfee SecurityCenter, your continuous participation and feedback to ToPS_SMB_Beta@mcafee.com is invaluable to ensure McAfee builds the best solution and management console for your business. And as more functionality is added and stabilized to the code base, this beta will be updated automatically through the installed client and made available to our external testers.

Q: How do I beta McAfee Total Protection Service?
A: If this is your first time visiting our beta site, then please sign-up as a new user. You will be asked to provide an email address and a password to access our beta download. Once the sign-up process is completed, you can log in to our beta SecurityCenter select the products to evaluate in beta.
Q: After the beta cycle is completed, will I need to re-install my current security protection?
A: McAfee thanks you in advance for participating in our beta. And, yes, if you no longer wish to evaluate the McAfee beta, then please re-install any previous licensed security protection.
Q: I have purchased Total Protection Service and already have a McAfee SecurityCenter login, can I use that to log into the beta site?
A: No, in order not to affect your existing account with this beta version, you must sign-up as a new user.
