What is McAfee Security-as-a-Service?
McAfeeŽ provides the industry's first integrated Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) - ideal for companies looking to eliminate or reduce onsite infrastructure, cost, and maintenance. With a quick online installation, McAfee SaaS Endpoint Protection (formerly Total Protection Service) provides automatic, always-on guard security to PCs and servers against viruses, spyware, hacker attacks and web threats. SaaS Endpoint Protection is managed by McAfee online via the SecurityCenter console for quick access to policy configurations and security reporting.
What is available in the beta for SaaS Endpoint Protection?
Intended for public testing, McAfee's beta release of SaaS Endpoint Protection offers testers with an opportunity to evaluate the upcoming features and SecurityCenter functionalities and to identify configurations or suggestions that may improve SaaS Endpoint Protection prior to official release.
Beta version 5.2 beta includes:
- *NEW* Active Directory machine integration allows administrators to import the OU structure into SecurityCenter, install protection on groups of machines and set/manage policy based on group membership
- *NEW* Upgrade scheduling allows administrators to select a day when they would like some or all of their computers to be upgraded
- *NEW* Upgraded desktop Firewall based on enterprise class Firecore technology
- *NEW* Enhanced anti-malware core for superior performance improvements
- *NEW* Support for Firefox, Chrome and Safari browsers for installation of the product
- Integrated virus, spyware and desktop firewall protection for proactive security against today's latest threats.
- Web security with McAfee SiteAdvisor technology to ensure safe Internet surfing and new web filtering to protect your network and employees from inappropriate web content and potential spyware.
- Ability to scan your perimeter for vulnerabilities - detailed reporting shows you exactly where your network is weak and how to address it.
- Free access to the McAfee beta SecurityCenter - the updated, McAfee-managed Web console, which is updated with new data 24x7 and provides easy tips to get your security up-to-date.
- Multi-language User Interface.

Once you install McAfee SaaS Endpoint Protection and use the McAfee SecurityCenter, please submit your feedback to ToPS_SMB_Beta@mcafee.com or via the Feedback button in the SecurityCenter. This feedback is invaluable to ensure McAfee builds the best solution and management console for your business. And as more functionality is added and stabilized to the code base, this beta will be updated automatically through the installed client and made available to our external testers.

Q: How do I beta McAfee SaaS Endpoint Protection?
A: If this is your first time visiting our beta site, then please sign-up as a new user. You will be asked to provide an email address and a password to access our beta download. Once the sign-up process is completed, you can log in to our beta SecurityCenter select the products to evaluate in beta.
Q: After the beta cycle is completed, will I need to re-install my current security protection?
A: McAfee thanks you in advance for participating in our beta. And, yes, if you no longer wish to evaluate the McAfee beta, then please re-install any previous licensed security protection.
Q: I have purchased SaaS Endpoint Protection and already have a McAfee SecurityCenter login, can I use that to log into the beta site?
A: No, in order not to affect your existing account with this beta version, you must sign-up as a new user.
Q: How do I provide input to the Beta Team?
